Looking to enhance your home without committing to a full renovation? Discover one way to refresh a room and make a statement: Pendants!
Interior designers often credit lighting as “the jewelry of the home.” Pendants with dazzling elements and stunning design can make an instant impact in any room. But how can pendant designs work within your personal space?
In today’s blog post, leading lighting manufacturer Progress Lighting provides a variety of ways you can incorporate pendants into every room in your home.
Kitchen – Kitchens often require lighting solutions that are highly functional. Pendant fixtures can add task lighting to kitchen work zones or illuminate an entire space. Try grouping two or more pendants above a kitchen island – or place a pendant grouping over a breakfast nook – to provide the right amount of light, while enhancing the overall aesthetics.

Bedroom: In lieu of table lamps, incorporate hanging pendants on either side of the bed for a striking visual statement.

Entryway or Foyer – Try adding a grouping of pendants in a spacious area – such as the foyer or entryway – in lieu of an over-sized chandelier. Pendants can be displayed in varying heights to add visual interest in an area that makes a good first impression to guests and visitors.

Living Room – For those who like to pair different home accents together, it’s nice to know designers take this approach with lighting designs, too! Individuals no longer have to feel constrained to choose from lighting fixtures in the same collection – rather, we encourage them to mix and match complementary fixtures, which also includes pendants.

Bathroom – Pendants can be displayed on either side of a mirror in the bath and vanity area. Combined with recessed lighting – or other general overhead illumination – the pendants can add both form and function to the bathroom.
