Revive Your Space with These Different Lighting Options for Every Style

As we are settling in to a new year, new trends are constantly emerging, and some past trends are making a comeback. With new finishes, textures and styles, the lighting possibilities for your home project are endless. We’ve gathered a few options for every style that are sure to revamp your kitchen, bedroom or living space.

Natural Materials

Natural materials are becoming more popular as connecting one’s home with nature becomes an increasingly desired design aesthetic. Natural elements can include materials like wood, wicker, jute and wrought iron. These materials soften a space and allow for more creativity in interior design, as they compliment most styles. This look can be achieved with lighting from Crystorama, Elk Lighting and Capital Lighting.

Chic and Modern

Kuzco Lighting has several options if chic and modern is what you are going for. Their Serif collection features clean, angular geometric shapes. Pictured below, these pieces make a statement while being minimalistic, as they appear to float above a kitchen island or dining table. Geode by Kuzco Lighting is another collection that appeals to a more modern design aesthetic. The Geode Chandelier looks luxe and chic, upgrading any space.

Black and White

Black and white lighting is timeless, but there is no shortage of style options from which you can choose. Black and white lighting can be used to achieve any specific look, whether its traditional, transitional or contemporary. For a more modern look, consider the Pivot LED collection by Progress Lighting, with clean lines and a structured look. If you desire a more traditional look, Capital Lighting, Elk Lighting and Crystorama have options below.

Art Deco

Art Deco brings bold colors and intricate details to the home. Some of our favorite Art Deco pieces include the Rowland collection by Alora, as well as the Echelon collection by Hinkley and the Elliot collection by Crystorama. Detailed metalwork, geometry and vintage luxury characterize each of these collections.

Oversized Pendants

When it comes to lighting, two is better than one. Instead of a traditional chandelier, opt for two (or three!) large pendants over your kitchen island or dining table, depending on the size of your space. Oversized pendants make a statement and draw even more attention, becoming the focal point of a room. We love these options from Alora Lighting, Hinkley Lighting and Innovations Lighting.

Traditional

Some trends may come and go, but timeless chandeliers with crystal detailing, empire shapes and traditional finishes will always be in style for a traditional space. One benefit of traditional lighting is that it makes a statement without being overpowering. Both the Marcellina collection by Hinkley Lighting and the Yves collection by Visual Comfort are grand and sophisticated, while the Rylee collection by Crystorama features beading that offers a bohemian flare.

No matter your style, choosing the perfect lighting is an exciting yet daunting task. At PDI Kitchen, Bath & Lighting, our goal is to make the decision making process as easy as possible for our customers. If you are already working on a project, or if any of these lighting options have sparked an interest in making upgrades around your home, give us the opportunity to help you through the process, every step of the way.
